WALK/INFANTRY DIVISION
IDS1. The entire route must be covered on foot under the Entrants own power.
IDS2. Light Infantry need not carry any of their liquids, rations or equipment whilst competing & may re-supply anywhere.
IDS3. Heavy Infantry must haul with them-unassisted & un-replenished from Start to Finish.
a. Carrying all food, clothing, camping & cooking gear, basic medications & other necessities except for clear liquids.
b. No kind of bedding may be moved separately.
c. No sharing of personal loads, or components thereof, between individuals is allowed.
d. Any local trips from night-stops & stop-overs must be under official supervision.
e. Packs must be worn for the Final Kilometre.
f. If unable to carry on, Heavy Infantry may convert to Light Infantry.
WALK/INFANTRY DIVISION TEAM)
IDT1. Teams to consist of a minimum of two, each of whom must comply with Rules IDS1 to 3.
IDT2. Teams are expected to stay together at all times.
IDT3. All Team members must cross the Finish line together each day.
ITT4. All Team members must summit Mt. Nyangani on Day 6. WALK/INFANTRY DIVISION (RELAY)
IDR1. A relay shall consist of a Captain & three other members, each required to complete one Leg, each of whom must comply with Rules IDS1 to 2.
IDR2. Stage One shall comprise Stages "Fanuel" to 3; Leg Two, Stages 4 & 5; Leg Three, Stage 6 & 8, & Leg Four, Stages "Strathern" & "Teddy".
IDR3. Infantry Relay members need not carry any of their provisions whilst competing.

CYCLE DIVISION (SOLO)
CDS1. The entire route must be Cycled under the Entrants own power without any leapfrogging or Relay take overs.
CDS2. Any type of two wheeled un-motorised Cycle may be used.
CDS3. A Cycle must be passed for roadworthiness by the Referee before competition.
CDS4. Bikes may be changed at will to suit the terrain.
CDS5. Contestants are to make their own watering & seconding plans.
CDS6. Hard shell helmets must be worn throughout.
CDS7. Tri-, Cinelli-, & aero-bars or equivalent accessories are not permitted.
CDS8. If dismounted for any reason, no one may run or walk without pushing their bike.
CYCLE DIVISION (TEAM)
CDT1. Teams to consist of a minimum of two, each of whom must comply with Rules CDS1 to 8.
CDT2. Teams are expected to stay together at all times.
CDT3. All Team members must cross the Finish line together each day.
CDT4. All Team members must summit Mt. Nyangani on Day 6.
CYCLE DIVISION (RELAY)
CDR1. Relays to consist of a minimum of two & maximum of four riders, each of whom must comply with Rules CDS1 to 8.
CDR2. Change over points are undesignated & to be made at the discretion of Relay members.
CDR3. Stage 3, Chimanimani, over Tank Nek to Skyline Fork is compulsory for all Relay members.
CDR4. Stage 5, the final 15km dirt section, Rhodes Nyanga to Nyangani car park, is compulsory for all Relay members.
CDR5. All Relay members must cross the Finish line together on Day 5.
CDR6. All Relay members must summit Mt. Nyangani on Day 6.

MTB DIVISION (SOLO)
MTBS1. The entire route must be Cycled under the Entrants own power without any leapfrogging or Relay take overs.
